Katy Perry has described the dresses Lady GaGa wore to 2010
"I think her outfits are very Lady GaGa. It's like so over-the-top," the 25-year-old first gushed. She went on told MTV News, "I thought the Alexander McQueen outfit was stunning. I was like, 'Oh my god!' I love all that kind of symbolism that she had on her dress, and she made a statement with all the people next to her. I like the statement she made."
Katy also praises GaGa for making shocking designs work. "I think costumes are just a natural extension," she explained. "I don't think you can just have the costumes and not have anything else. The costumes are the bells and whistles and bells and whistles can be really fun, but you have to have the spine, and I think that with GaGa, she's got the spine and she's got the costume. So, it can coexist."
Lady GaGa has got people talking when attending this year's VMAs, particularly when she wore a raw meat dress from Franc Fernandez. Later on, she told Ellen DeGeneres that the bizarre outfit is a sign of protest against the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, and she means "no disrespect to anyone that's vegan or vegetarian".
"As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth," the recipient of eight Moonmen further explained. It has many interpretations, but for me this evening, it's 'If we don't stand up for what we believe in, we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones.'

This past Sunday, MTV brought the Video Music Awards [VMAs] back to the west coast for a live, star-studded show in Los Angeles.
The evening, was filled with an abundance of awe-inspiring performances, comic relief and Facebook-status worthy moments.
Sunday’s VMAs made history for MTV. Comedian, Chelsea Handler was the first female to host the VMAs in 16 years.
The awards raked in a total of 11.4 million viewers, making it the most watched cable telecast for the network in 2010.
These were the best ratings for any MTV telecast since the 2002 VMAs.
The opening skit featured Lindsay Lohan with Handler who was “preparing for the show.”
In the skit, the freshly out-of-rehab Lohan made fun of her history of drugs and alcohol.
The show opened with a highly anticipated performance by rapper, Eminem who’s had a comeback year with singles “Not Afraid” and “Love The Way You Lie,” both which he performed Sunday night. “Love The Way You Lie” ended with a surprise appearance from Rihanna.
Eminem walked away with two Moonmen awards for Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Video.
R&B superstar, Usher, performed a medley of his 2010 hit singles “DJ Got Us Fallen In Love” and “OMG” proving he can sing and dance as if he were still twenty one; certainly setting the bar high for the rest of the evening’s performers.
Aside from the comeback musical performances, other artists who performed Sunday night included Justin Beiber, B.o.B. and Drake. Kayne West closed the show with his song, “Runaway.”
Taylor Swift performed and went uninterrupted this year.
Her song, “Innocent” referenced her accepting of Kanye West’s apology from the 2009 VMAs.
“I never thought I’d be asking Cher to hold my meat purse,” said Lady Gaga while accepting her award for Video of the Year for Bad Romance.
The pop star took home eight out of the 11 Moonmen she was nominated for.
While accepting her Video of the Year award, she announced the title of her new album, Born This Way.
As usual, Gaga made made a statement with her outrageous attire, mostly designs by the late Alexander McQueen.
The meat purse holder, Cher, presented the Video of the Year award to Gaga.
Cher cheered on the winner via twitter on Sunday, tweeting “ Loved doing VMAs! Lady Gaga rocked it!”
Although this years’ VMAs weren’t as drama filled as last years’, they’re were still memorable moments with Handler as host, the musical performances and the come back appearances.
The VMAs have marked their place in pop culture as the number one source for an unforgettable night.

LOS ANGELES – Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail, but she's not exactly a free woman.
The actress was discharged at 1:35 a.m. Monday after serving 14 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation in a 2007 drug case, a sheriff's spokesman said. She is now required to begin a three-month stint in rehab.
A prosecutor has said that Lohan cannot be released early and will have to spend the entire time in treatment, reportedly at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The facility and government officials declined to say whether Lohan is a patient there, but paparazzi followed a van that received a police escort to the center after Lohan's release from jail.
Lohan's abbreviated jail stay was not unexpected, although it was considerably longer than the 84 minutes she spent at the same facility in 2007. The judge said during Lohan's surrender July 20 that she had no control over how long the actress would be jailed, but she did require her to serve her time at a women's jail operated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, did not immediately return an e-mail message seeking comment.
A judge in Beverly Hills had ordered Lohan to report to rehab within a day of her release from jail, but shortened that time last week after conferring with Lohan's attorney and a prosecutor. Los Angeles sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Monday that the actress was required to report directly to rehab.
Inmates such as Lohan, 24, who are serving time for nonviolent offenses, typically have their stays reduced due to overcrowding and credits for good behavior.
Media have been camped outside the jail since Lohan was booked July 20, catching shots of her mother and sister coming to visit. Holley has also frequently visited Lohan.
She was released to a waiting vehicle and did not walk out the front entryway. That avoided a spectacle similar to when Paris Hilton was released after serving a jail stint in 2007. Hilton smiled and slapped hands with deputies who held back the assembled throng of photographers before meeting her parents at a waiting sport utility vehicle.
Lohan's sentence has put several of her projects on hold, including a starring role in as Linda Lovelace in a biopic on the porn star's life. It will also prevent her from promoting her role as a gun-toting nun in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete."
Lohan pleaded guilty in August 2007 to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine, and no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving. She was sentenced to three years of probation.
The plea came after a pair of high-profile arrests earlier that year.
The jail facility in Lynwood has hosted several starlets, including actress Michelle Rodriguez and Hilton.
Rodriguez served 18 days of her 180-day sentence and was released in January 2008. Hilton served 23 days in 2007 after she was caught driving twice on a suspended license while on probation for reckless driving.
At the time, inmates serving time for nonviolent offenses were serving about 10 percent of their sentences; that figure has now increased to about 25 percent, Whitmore said.
